SCHEDULE:

Saturday, June 13th will be available for open practice. The bikes assigned to celebrity racers will be available for practice at no charge, however only one bike per racer shall be assigned.

Sun., June 14th

8:00AM – 10AM practice

10:45 AM – 11:45 AM Lunch and cake. Gifts and speeches during lunch. “shoot the breeze”. Photo ops.

12:30 M1GP series races 1 Round – 10 laps each class. Open races for all racers.

NOTE: We are making every effort to have motorcycles ready for a celebrity exhibition race.

MotoGP Rookies Cup Webcast

This season for the first time fans will be able to watch the Rookies races live thanks to a satellite feed to the Rookies Cup website www.redbullrookiescup.com and this will continue all year. After the event the recorded races will remain on the Rookies TV section of the site. All the Rookies races and other features will also be available to broadcast media through Red Bull’s content pool at www.redbullcontentpool.com

$3,000 purse: CMRA hosts Shogun Motorsports Mini Fest June 13/14

The Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association (CMRA) is pleased to announce the Shogun Motorsports Mini, GP & Motard Fest to be held at challenging Oak Hill Raceway near Henderson, Texas, on June 13-14, 2009. Generous purse payouts include $3,000 for the Shogun Motorsports 8-hour mini endurance race, and $500 each for the Shogun Motorsports 125 GP, Shogun Motorsports Super Motard and Shogun Motorsports Unlimited Motard. Special purses by Shogun Motorsports will also be posted for two rounds of the CMRA Mini Sprints to be held at the event.

The Saturday, June 13 schedule features round four of the CMRA Mini Sprint Series with races for Formula 4 and 6, Junior Motard (age 8 to 12 sportsmanship class) and Formula 5 and 7. The sprint races will be followed on Saturday by the 8-hour round three of the CMRA Mini Endurance Series, which is also a crossover event with the Texas Mini Grand Prix organization.

Sunday, June 14 will feature round five of the CMRA Mini Sprint Series followed by qualifying and then racing for the Shogun Motorsports Super and Unlimited Motard classes (15 laps each) and the 20-lap Shogun Motorsports 125 GP. Sunday will finish with the Texas Mini Grand Prix sprint series schedule to be announced at the track.

Practice on the day of racing is included with each race entry. Additionally, Lone Star Track Days (www.lstd.com) will hold a track day and CMRA License School at Oak Hill Raceway on Friday, June 12 immediately preceding the CMRA Shogun Mini Fest. Racers should contact LSTD directly for information about the track day.

CMRA mini class competition is open to licensed riders as young as 10 years old. Guest racers presenting a current license from most national and regional road racing organizations will be able to purchase a one-weekend CMRA license to participate in this event.

The four CMRA mini classes allow participation by virtually every size mini and engine configuration currently being raced in the United States. Class structure and bike requirement information is available at www.cmraracing.com .

Oak Hill Raceway is a 1.8 mile road course in the rolling hills near Henderson, Texas. Oak Hill is considered to be one of the most challenging road courses in the South and its technical layout makes it the perfect race course for small displacement motorcycles. Many champions including Ben Spies, Colin Edwards, Kevin Schwantz and Nicky Hayden honed their skills at Oak Hill.

Midwest Motorsport Canadian National 6 Race Series

Again for 2009 we will offer all US Mini Roadracers a Bike to race at any CNMRA National round, All you have to do is fly up and we will pick you up from the Airport, Get you to the track and even put you up for the weekend. Supply one NSR50 or any Canadian Thunder or Thumper Class bike for the weekend. Drop you off at the Airport again.

We are a great bunch and will treat you great (off track that is.)

Also if prebooked in time we will supply one CBR125 to any youth 13 to 16 or any fast ladies 13 up for the Calgary Round , To compete in Canadian Superbike Double header CBR Cup, The AMRA is set host round two at our Local round, This one will be telivised on Canada’s TSN network in the Fall along with the Canadian Superbike Series. Must be in Calgary for a Roadrace Course Thursday June 25.
