McFadden says goodbye to minis

Posted by MiniGPX Archives | MiniGPX-NEWS, WERA | Thursday 2 October 2008 10:40 am

FastForwardRacing’s Nick McFadden has completed his WERA Regional Season this last week at Nashville SuperSpeedway. Having to only finish one spot behind his closest competitor, Garrett Gerloff, to keep the number 1 spot in the 125Gp class Nick finished 2nd on both days taking the top spot in the NE and MidCentral regions. The SE region was the closest race as Nick had missed one round and Garrett had DNS another, with Nick taking the championship by one point.

The last few 85GP races Nick struggled with bike related problems, but still came out on top in several WERA regions. Nashville was Nick’s last race in the 85GP class. Next year he will concentrate solely on the 125GP class in USGPRU and 125GP, Lw, and Formula2 in WERA, in addition to running the 250 Moriwaki class with USGPRU.

The last 2 races WERA allowed Nick to bump up to the Formula2 and Lightweight class where he finished on the podium in both classes with his 125GP bike.

Next on the schedule is the WERA Grand National Finals (GNF) at Road Atlanta, where Nick has qualified for a front row start in the 125GP class. Here he will be competing against the best 125 riders that WERA has to offer, including several 2008 RedBull Rookies.

Nick and FFRacing would like to thank all of their sponsors for their help and support thru the 2008 season. Without their help, we would not have had the success we achieved.
